Tom Reynolds, of Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds, originally from the Caribbean – St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, spent his early childhood learning to play as well as construct steel drums. His mastery of the instrument along with his ability as a vocalist led him to New York, where he headlined with some of the great jazz artists of our time. (Thelonius Monk, Winton Kelly, Benny Goodman, Oscar Peterson and Lionel Hampton to name just a few.) Reynolds varied stylistic experiences have created a hybrid concoction of jazz and Caribbean/Latin musical sounds.
